إنّ الموت حق علينا جميعاً، وعلينا أن نقومبجميعالأعمال الصّالحة لنستعد لتلك اللحظة، ألا وهي لحظة الموت.فالموت ليسبالشيء المخيف بالنسبة للإنسان المؤمن المتيقّن بأنّه إذاعمل صالحاًفي الدّنيا فسيلقى صالحاً في الآخرة، وأنّ رحمة الله تعالىستتنزّلعليه، وأنّ أعماله ستنير عليه قبره إلى يوم القيامة، وتسهّلعليهالإجابة على أسئلة الملكين، وسينال يوم القيامة الثّواب والأجرعلى ماعمل من الصّالحات، وسيكون أجره . وأمّا الكافر الذي كذّب بديناللهتعالى، وبما جاء به رسوله - صلّى الله عليه وسلّم - واستكبر،وأصرّ علىكفره، فإنّ الله تعالى سيجازيه أشدّ الجزاء، وسيكون قبرهيوم موتهظلمةً عليه، محتويات ١ أول ليلة في القبر ٢ كلام القبر عندالنزول إليه٣ اجتماع الموتى إلى الميت ٤ الاستعداد للموت ٥ سكراتالموت ، نزلت فيعذاب القبر ". وزاد مسلم:" يقال له: من ربّك؟ فيقول:ربّي الله، ونبيّمحمّد، . وخرّج الطبراني من حديث البراء بن عازب، عنالنّبي - صلّىالله عليه وسلّم - قال:" يقال للكافر من ربّك، فيقول لاأدري، فهو تلكالسّاعة أصمّ، أعمى، أبكم، فيُضرب بمرزبة لو ضرب بهاجبل صار تراباً،فيسمعها كلّ شيء غير الثّقلين ". وخرّج أبو داود منحديث المنهال بنعمرو، عن زاذان، عن البراء بن عازب، عن النّبي - صلّىالله عليه وسلّم- قال:" إنّه ليسمع خفق نعالهم إذا ولوا مدبرين حينيقال له من ربّك؟وما دينك؟ ومن نبيّك؟". وفي رواية له لفيقولانِ: منربُّكَ؟ فيقولُ:ربّي اللهُ، فيقولان: ما دينُكَ؟ فيقولُ: دينيالإسلامُ،
دار البرزخ بأعمالهم مدانون مكافؤون فمكرمون بإحسانهم وبإساءتهممهانونقال الله سبحانه وتعالى { ومن ورائهم برزخ إلى يوم يبعثون }قال مجاهد: البرزخ الحاجز بين الموت والرجوع إلى الدنيا وعنه قال هوما بينالموت إلى البعث قال الحسن : هي هذه القبور التي بينكم وبينالآخرةوعنه قال أبو هريرة هي هذه القبور التي تركضون عليها لايسمعونالصوت
وقال عطاء الخراساني : البرزخ مدة ما بين الدنيا والآخرة وصلىأبوأمامة على جنازة فلما وضعت في لحدها قال أبو أمامة هذا برزخ إلىيوميبعثون
وقيل لـ الشعبي : مات فلان قال : ليس هو في الدنيا ولا في الآخرة هوفيبرزخ وسمع رجلا يقول مات فلان أصبح من أهل الآخرة قال لا تقل منأهلالآخرة ولكن قل من أهل القبور

وقد قسمته ثلاثة عشر بابا والله المسؤول أن يجعله عملا خالصاصوابا:
الباب الأول : في ذكر حال الميت عند نزوله قبره وسؤال الملائكة لهومايفسح له في قبره أو يضيق عليه وما يرى من منزله في الجنة أوفيالنار
