Dennis Spellman has been a professionalbroadcast journalist for more than 25 years, and spent the lastdecade on Houston radio and television stations like 740 KTRH,KIAH-TV CW39, and KROI News 92 FM. Before coming to Houston, Denniswas the news director at WGAN radio and a news anchor at WMTWtelevision in Portland, Maine. News may be in his blood, as there’sa family legend about a Spellman being the town crier back inIreland. In addition to journalism, Dennis has worked as anexecutive in the public, and non-profit sectors. He was a businessanalyst for Dun & Bradstreet in Boston before coming toHouston. Here, he was the Vice President of External Affairs andInformation Technology at the Houston Housing Authority, and VicePresident of the Board at Houston Housing Resource, which helpspeople in public housing achieve self-sufficiency. Dennis isoriginally from Dover, New Hampshire and also lived in Portland,Maine for a dozen years. He earned a BA from the University of NewHampshire.
