So, you think you are the smartest biped in your food chain?Re-skin yourself in black feathers and see if you've got what ittakes to survive in Ravenous. Get from here to there, find what youneed to survive, and show you've got the feathers to hook up withthat special “some-bird”. Play like a bird, be the bird.

Ravenous puts players in the role of a raven interacting with theliving and non-living challenges of its environment. Flying longerand longer distances reflects an intuitive understanding ofadaptations related to the aerodynamics and energy cost of birdflight as well as behavioral strategies that influence survival.Ravenous is part of the Leveling Up collection, developed by EdGEto support and measure science learning in games people choose toplay in their free time.

EdGE — On the edge of science and play! The Educational GamingEnvironments group (EdGE) at TERC hopes to show that learninghappens in all kinds of places by investigating thepossibilities—and challenging the assumptions—of game-basedlearning environments. EdGE is designing and studying games whosemechanics mirror real scientific phenomena, but more importantly,are fun to play.
