PowerZ: A collective experience to improveenergy efficiency.
The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) and leadingenergy-market player ENGIE Lab Singapore are launching alarge-scale pilot project, called PowerZ, on NTU Campus.

The idea behind PowerZ is to get everyone involved in increasingthe energy efficiency while having fun at the same time. Bringingtogether an app that combines a smartphone virtual experience withpractical initiatives on the campus, PowerZ is a real team effort,with campus users doing their bit to reduce everyday electricityconsumption (e.g. air conditioning) on the campus.

This unique pilot also has an academic purpose as it will allowERI@N and ENGIE to learn what impact users of the campus can haveon reducing its energy consumption.
NTU's commitment to sustainable development is demonstrated by theEcoCampus programme, whose goal is to reduce the consumption ofresources (energy, water, waste) by 35% by 2020. This programmeaims, among other things, to give those on the campus (bothstudents and staff) the chance to play an active role in thisrevolution
EarthLink NTU, the biggest student organisation dealing withenvironmental issues at NTU, is supporting PowerZ through theinvolvement of its management committee.
