民國九十七年元旦起，行政院衛生署宜蘭醫院改制為陽明大學附設醫院。不再隸屬衛生署管轄，也不再委託台北榮民總醫院經營。宜蘭醫院邁向另一個新的紀元，象徵著百年老店一個嶄新的里程碑，而社會各界許多溫馨的祝福與更深切的期望，讓我們必須思考，需要完成什麼才能不辜負大家的期待，並使社會的資源能有更妥善而有效的運用。
