GLOBE - The Global Legislators Organisation

This App presents The Global Legislators Organisation(GLOBEInternational), an international organisationcomprisingparliamentarians from 80 countries committed to findinglegislativesolutions to the challenges posed by climate change andsustainabledevelopment, the GLOBE Climate Legislation Study, alarge reportdepicting climate laws and policies in 66 countries,the WorldSummit of Legislators and a calendar of GLOBE'sfutureevents.
The App showcases the 4th edition of the GLOBE ClimateLegislationStudy, produced in partnership with the GranthamResearch Instituteat the London School of Economics. The 700 pagestudy, the world’ssingle most comprehensive audit of nationalclimate change laws andregulations, reviews almost 500 pieces oflegislation that havebeen passed in 66 countries since 1997.
GLOBE also publishes the GLOBE Natural Capital Legislation Studyandthe GLOBE Forest Legislation Study. These will be madeavailable ina future release of the App.
The World Summit of Legislators convenes legislators fromtheworld’s national parliaments every-two-years. The Summit hasthesimple aim of promoting national legislation on issuesofsustainable development. It provides a uniqueinternationalplatform to recognise the role of legislators and theimportance ofpassing national legislation if internationalprocesses are todeliver.

The 2nd World Summit of Legislators will take place intheMexican Congress from 6th-8th June 2014. All the worldparliamentsare invited to partecipate.
