La Fundación Oso de Asturias (FOA) es unaentidad cultural privada, sin ánimo de lucro, creada con el fin depromover y desarrollar actividades dirigidas a la conservación deloso pardo cantábrico y de su hábitat.

La Fundación Oso de Asturias tiene como objetivos promover,incentivar, promocionar y realizar actividades dirigidas a laconservación, protección e investigación científica de laspoblaciones de oso pardo cantábrico y su hábitat, todo elloentendido siempre en el contexto general de la conservación y usosostenible de la biodiversidad en la Cordillera Cantábrica.

Para la consecución de estos fines, la Fundación Oso de Asturiasparticipa en las actuaciones establecidas en los Planes deConservación del Oso Pardo Cantábrico elaborados por el Gobiernodel Principado de Asturias.

Los principales campos en los que se engloba nuestra labor sonlos siguientes:
-. La sensibilización social sobre la situación actual del osopardo cantábrico y el significado de su existencia en libertad enla Cordillera Cantábrica.
-. La educación ambiental dirigida a colectivos específicos y a lapoblación general.
-. La conservación de los valores socioculturales relacionados conel oso y su área de distribución.
-. La investigación científica sobre el oso pardo cantábrico y suhábitat.

The Bear Asturias (FOA)Foundation is a private cultural institution, nonprofit, created topromote and develop activities aimed at the conservation of theCantabrian brown bear and its habitat.

The Asturian Bear Foundation aims to promote, encourage, promoteand conduct activities for the conservation, protection andscientific research of the Cantabrian brown bear populations andtheir habitat, all always understood in the broader context ofconservation and sustainable use of biodiversity in the CantabrianMountains.

To achieve these aims, the Asturian Bear Foundation participatesin the activities set out in Conservation Plans Cantabrian BrownBear made by the Government of the Principality of Asturias.

The main areas in which our work is included are:
