The Kardex Remstar LR 35 is a highly efficient solution for storingand retrieving lightweight, small-volume items. Its high pickingperformance makes it suitable for use in many different areas: Thesystem significantly improves productivity and energy consumption,whether being used to supply a production line with a wide range ofproducts, as buffer storage in the assembly area, or for pickingslow-moving parts in the distribution warehouse. In addition,highly valuable parts are much more secure thanks to the controlledaccess.

Energy efficiency and integration

The Kardex Remstar LR 35 uses just a third of the energy ofcomparable systems. The use of the latest technologies andinnovative design features makes this energy efficiency possible.Complex energy recovery is not necessary.

The Vertical Buffer Module can be flexibly incorporated in existingproduction and software systems, simplifying integration intoexisting processes. A mix of trays and bins can accommodate goodsof up to four different heights within the Kardex Remstar LR35.

Besides bar code scanners for identifying goods and pick-to-lighttechnology to increase picking speed and accuracy, the system canalso be combined with existing conveyor systems, driverlesstransport systems, and multi-shuttle systems such as the ARC fromServus Intralogistics.

The system is operated via a newly designed, capacitive touchscreen, which displays all the information and activity in aneasily understandable way. There is no need for time-consumingstaff training.

Ergonomics

The Vertical Buffer Module features ergonomically designed pickingstations to simplify the order picking process. The items aretilted at an angle of 20 degrees at the access opening to ensurethat the bin is always presented to the operator in anergonomically optimal position. This ensures that the goods can beeasily retrieved or stored away.

The items are conveyed to the picking station in line with thegoods-to-person principle in order to minimize the distance coveredby the operator. The cleverly thought-out design of the VerticalBuffer Module guarantees sufficient foot and headspace for theoperator at all times.
