RadioFlo nasce nel 2008, ad Aradeo (LE), daun’idea di Paolo Blago: permettere a chiunque sia in possesso di unpc e di una connessione di fare radio. “Tutti possono avere il lorospazio, tutti possono coltivare il loro sogno”.
RadioFlo è giunta al quinto anno di vita con all’attivo oltre 50flokers (così è il nome degli speaker che lavorano gratuitamenteper radio flo) che, grazie all’idea di una regia “decentralizzata”,possono trasmettere da casa propria la loro stessa passione per laradiofonia e per la musica “nuova”, quella snobbata dalmainstream.
Con ben 40 programmi in diretta ogni settimana da tante cittàitaliane (Roma, Pavia, Bologna, Lecce, Napoli, Taranto, Brindisi,Bari) e straniere (Cleveland, Madrid, Londra), una programmazionevaria e vasta che tocca temi e argomenti differenti e disparati(Cultura, Politica, Libri, Sociale, Sesso, Musica Underground,Cinema, Selezioni musicali dance e non, musica vintage,Intrattenimento) nel marzo 2013 è stata scelta tra i vincitori delbando della regione Puglia “Principi Attivi”, che le ha permesso didiventare associazione culturale musicale, crearsi una strutturapropria ben definita (le Aree: Area Comunicazione, Tecnici,Palinsesto, Eventi, Formazione, guidate da un Consiglio Direttivo)e avere un piccolo budget da investire nell’anno 2013/2014 per losviluppo maggiore di questa realtà oggetto anche di una tesi dilaurea.
Dopo aver organizzato il Radio Flo On Tour, tanti piccoli e grandieventi nel territorio pugliese (capodanno, festa di vittoria bando,carnevale, dirette in diversi locali), aver preso parte ad altriimportanti festival (tra i più: Arezzo Wave, Keep Cool, LocomotiveJazz Festival, La notte della Taranta) aver fatto da media partnerper diversi eventi organizzati da altre realtà territoriali (CoolClub, I Love Brindisi, Manifatture Knos, Lobello Records) è ancheimpegnata nella realizzazione di un corso extra curricularepomeridiano per la formazione tecnico – professionale di operatoriweb radio.

Lo scopo di Radio Flo, quindi, è quello di far capire al nostroPaese che è possibile una radio diversa, perché attraversol’ecletticità di questo modo “vecchio” ma forte di fare radio, èpossibile raccontare una realtà musicale e sociale che esiste, mache molti non conoscono.
Per questo motivo Radio Flo sente l’esigenza di essere portavoce dialtre realtà “altre” e di diffondere il messaggio grazie anche allacreazione di un network che abbia la base logistica nel portalewww.radioflo.it. Il suo sito, come centro d’incontro, non sarà soloil modo per ascoltare la radio ma anche il centro di raccolta dicoloro che vorranno supportare, sponsorizzare, aiutare, contribuirealla crescita di questa realtà e allo stesso modo farla diventarela portavoce delle realtà che vorranno farne parte.
Radio Flo è alla ricerca costante di nuove voci per aumentare ilproprio palinsesto e di chi crede in questo progetto e insiemevuole farlo crescere in termini numerici ed economici, per farcapire che una radio “dal basso” è possibile.
