Preventing Infection in Care at Home (PIIC@H)

This resource provides a comprehensive toolkit for theapplication of the Standard Infection Control Precautions (SICP)for all community Health and Social Care staff.

It lists common infection risks you may encounter when visitingsomeone in their own home to provide care. Choose one and itreveals the “must do” SICP guidance to follow that can minimise therisk of spreading infection to you and the person you care for. Italso offers key advice on areas to consider and other factors tokeep you, and those you care for, safe from the spread ofinfection.
