তসলিমা নাসরিন বাংলাদেশের বহুল আলোচিত ওবিতর্কিতনারীবাদী সাহিত্যিক। তাঁর রচনাসমূহের মধ্যে লজ্জা, আমারমেয়েবেলা,দ্বিখণ্ডিত, গোল্লাছুট, ইত্যাদি উল্লেখযোগ্য।

তাঁর প্রকৃত নাম নাসরিন জাহান তসলিমা। স্কুল জীবনে কবিতা চর্চ্চারসময়তিনি 'তসলিমা নাসরিন' নাম গ্রহণ করেন। ১৯৬২ খ্রিস্টাব্দেময়মনসিংহশহরে তাঁর জন্ম। দুই ভাই দুই বোনের মধ্যে তিনি তৃতীয়। তাঁরপিতা রজবআলী পেশায় চিকিৎসক ছিলেন। মা ইদুল আরা সাধারণ ধর্মভীরুবাঙ্গালীগৃহিনী, তসলিমার পিতার দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রী। । ১৯৭৬ খ্রিস্টাব্দেতিনিময়মনসিংহ রেসিডেন্সিয়াল স্কুল থেকে এস, এস, সি পাস করেন।১৯৭৮খ্রিস্টাব্দে তিনি আনন্দ মোহন কলেজ থেকে এইচ এস সি পাস করেন।এরপরতিনি ময়মনসিংহ মেডিক্যাল কলেজে ভর্তি হন এবং সেখান থেকে১৯৮৬খ্রিস্টাব্দে এম বি বি এস পাস করেন। অথঃপর তিনি সরকারীহাসপাতালেচিকিৎসকের চাকুরী গ্রহণ করেন। তিনি যখন ১৯৯৪ খ্রিস্টাব্দেদেশত্যাগকরেন তখন সলিমুল্লাহ মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালেঅজ্ঞানবিশেষজ্ঞ(অ্যানেসথেসিওলজিস্ট) হিসেবে কর্মরত ছিলেন। তার শৈশব ওযৌবনের বিশদবিবরণ তাঁর আত্মজীবনীমূলক গ্রন্থাদির বিভিন্ন খণ্ডেপাওয়াযায়।

১৯৮২ খ্রিস্টাব্দে তিনি কবি রুদ্র মুহম্মদ শহীদুল্লাহ'র প্রেমেপড়েনএবং বাবা-মা ও আত্মীয়-স্বজন কাউকে না জানিয়ে গোপনে বিয়ে করেন।১৯৮৬খ্রিস্টাব্দে তাদের বিবাহ বিচ্ছেদ ঘটে। পরে বাংলাদেশেরপ্রখ্যাতসাংবাদিক ও সম্পাদক নাইমুল ইসলাম খানের সাথে বিয়ে এবং ১৯৯১সালেবিচ্ছেদ হয়। তিনি ১৯৯১ সালে সাপ্তাহিক বিচিন্তা'র সম্পাদকমিনারমনসুরকে বিয়ে করেন এবং ১৯৯২ সালে তাদের বিবাহ বিচ্ছেদ হয়। এরপরতিনিআর বিয়ে করেন নি।

সাহিত্যে জগতে প্রবেশ সত্তর দশকের শেষভাগে কবিতা লেখার মধ্যদিয়ে।১৯৮১ খ্রিস্টাব্দে স্ব-উদ্যোগে প্রথম কবিতা সংকলন প্রকাশ করেনযার নামশিকড়ে বিপুল ক্ষুধা। তাঁর কবিতা গীতিময়তায় পুষ্ট।আত্মজৈবনিকতাতাঁর কবিতার বৈশিষ্ট্য। প্রথম থেকেই তাঁর কবিতায়যৌনানুষঙ্গপ্রবলভাবে উপস্থিত, যা পরবর্তীতে তাঁর গদ্য রচনাতেওপরিদৃষ্টহয়।
