Series levelling

Level 1: for children who have received some initial readinginstruction and are beginning to recognise words on a page. Eachstory is told very simply, using a small number of frequentlyrepeated words.

Level 2: for children who have received some reading instructionand can read short, simple sentences with help.

Level 3: for children who are developing reading confidence andstamina and are eager to begin reading longer stories with a widervocabulary

Level 4: for children who are ready to read longer stories witha wider vocabulary and are eager to start reading independently
