Choker™ takes two of the world’s greatestboardgames and fuses them into a new uber experience that willtesteverything you’ve got. For the poker phase you’ll need yourcunning,bluff and cool calculation. Then the chess phase willdemand yourprecision, strategy and brilliance. Do you have thecomplete skillset? Can you checkmate your opponent? In Choker™ youneed it all.

There are 3 phases in Choker™. Each phase impacts the nextone.It’s a triathlon of the mind which tests and sparks yourmentalcapacity.

◉ Phase 1: Card and Betting
You’ll be dealt 5 special Choker cards, one at a time, from adeckof 22 cards. Each card depicts a chess piece. Your challengeisevaluate the chess army you assemble and bet on them withyourfictional pot of gold coins. Did you get a Queen? Do yourpiecescomplement each other? Has your army got enough to vanquishyouropponent? Do you fold – or do you push on for victory?

◉ Phase 2: Place your Pieces
In turns, you place your assembled chess pieces on the board.Pawnscan go anywhere on the 2nd to 4th ranks. Other chess piecescan goon the 1st and 2nd ranks. It’s your chance to gain apositionaladvantage and structure your attack so the chess piecesworktogether to overcome your opponent.

◉ Phase 3: Play Chess
You’ve placed your bets and your pieces. Now do battle in chess.Allthe general rules apply. It’s the time for precisionandcalculation. But the clock is ticking. Hold your nerves forvictoryand take the pot of gold.

There’s one final element. You can bring more firepower toyourgame by using special powers. You can buy yourself more time inthechess phase, or trade in an unwanted card for a super in thecardphase. But it costs gold. Is it worth it? Will your opponent dothesame? Will it be decisive? Only you can decide.

We hope you enjoy Choker. We wanted to create a game thatopensup chess – where the start of the game is like the end gameinnormal chess…and where there is an element of the bluff andcunningof poker too. In this game we believe it is possible for anormalplayer to beat a chess Grandmaster, with a little luck and alot ofskill.
