Monash City Football Club was originallyformedin 1997 as the Monash City Junior Soccer Club out of theashes ofOakleigh United Soccer Club. The focus of the club was todevelopyoung boys into outstanding footballers and over the yearsthe clubhas developed a reputation as a strong junior club.

Recently we changed the name of the club to Monash CityFootballClub to reflect the growing trend to refer to the game asfootball.We have also removed the reference to “junior” as we hopeto fieldmore senior teams in the coming years.

The club boasts a proud tradition of developing boys andgirlsthrough our Goalkick, Small Sided Football and Juniorprograms. Weare also currently fielding a Men’s Masters team andhope in thefuture to add more senior teams to our club.

Monash City Football Club has a long tradition offieldingcompetitive teams throughout every age group and haveenjoyedsuccess both locally and regionally. In 2009 this culminatedin theclub’s U15 team representing Victoria in the ManchesterUnitedPremier Cup at the Pacific Finals.

Throughout its short history Monash City has wonnumerouspennants throughout all the age divisions. Even moreimportant towinning though the Club is committed to developing andeducatingjunior players to reach their highest potential. Ourvision is tobe recognised as the premier football club inMelbourne, whereplayers are committed to exceling in the game offootball, have theopportunity to grow in an optimal learningenvironment, withquality coaches, training facilities and supportavailable.

Our club colours, black and red stripes, resemble that ofACMilan from Italy.

We believe that as a club also have the responsibility topromotethe game of football and encourage the participationamongst bothsub junior and junior boys and especially girlsthrough the means ofcompetitive teams, and that’s why every boy orgirl that registersat the club is welcomed.

We have access to two wonderful grounds, CaloolaReserve,Oakleigh and Argyle Reserve, Hughesdale (where we also haveaccessto an indoor football facility for training indoors).

During this time the club has come up with some fantasticideasand innovative plans to ensure the strength of the clubcontinueslong in to the future.

One of the main areas the club was looking to improve on wastheway in which it was currently communicating with itsplayers,members, supporters and sponsors.

With a forward thinking and a dynamic board the club wasactivelypursuing different methods which would enable them toimprove ontheir existing communication channels.

After conducting a review of all the options available tothemthe club is pleased to announce the release of their firstevernative mobile phone app for the Android.

The app will be branded in the famous red and black of theMonashCity Football Club and the content available to users in theappwill contain information about the club.
