Description

There can be three types of tests orhardships[azmaishen] from Allah All-Mighty.

One is the wrath and anger of Allah i.e. ‘azabe Ilahi’ orAllahki narazgi. When ever the servant is not practicing the rulesofAllah, it makes Allah All-Mighty extremely angry and HeAll-Mightyis not shy of putting that servant through hardships whodoes notobey the divine rules of All-Mighty. Allah warns Hisservant thatHe All-mighty will keep on sending small tests, hardships, ‘azab’before sending the bigger test, the final test ofthe Doomsday,[‘azab e akhrat’]. So in the life of this world theservant mustcorrect his mistakes, make up for his sins and returnto HimAll-Mighty for forgiveness. By doing so the servant will beon theright path, he will start living his life according toAllah’sdivine rules. By correcting his mistakes, making up for hissinsand returning to Him All-Mighty for forgiveness the servantwillattain his inner soul’s peace and also peace with outerworldaround him. These tests or hardships [azmaishen] are sent whentherelationship of the servant with Allah All-Mighty becomesweak. Then the servant becomes aloof from his religion. Hebecomesthankless towards Allah. He starts appreciating anddepending moreupon the worldly plans, possessions and circumstancesthan on AllahAll-mighty. Such a servant forgets that AllahAll-Giver gave himall these worldly things [for e.g. assets, possessions, wisdom, health, education, hard work, relatives, friends every thing onecan think of…] to carry on with this worldlylife. When a servant, whose relationship with Allah is weak, receives a blessing fromAllah All-Giver instead of becoming humbleand thankful to HimAll-Giver for giving him all these blessings, the servant thinks itis all because of his own wisdom and hard workwhich ended in thisfruitful way. The proud servant thinks herightly deserved allthis. At this point the servant forgets thatAllah All-Giver hasbestowed His blessings upon the servant. Therefore the servantbecomes very proud ‘mutakabbir’ in him-self.As the servant becomesthankless, he drifts away from AllahAll-Giver and stops practicingreligion Islam [salah, fasting,Islamic tax, zakat, charity, khairat, good relations with relatives, friends and people aroundin general etc, etc and all otherobligatory actions faraiz]altogether or a part of Islam in theproper way as it should bepracticed, the whole hearted way. Such aservant who is driftingaway from Allah becomes proud ‘mutakabbir’in himself and rude topeople around. Islamic teachings grooms theservant not to becomeproud ‘mutakabbir’ and the servant must neverthink even in thehearts of his heart that he deserved it because ofhis own hardwork or because of any other worldly reason. Thereality is many atime the servant may have worked very hard withmany worldlyfacilities but his efforts were fruitless in spite ofall thosefacilities and worldly helps. The servant’s hard work isfruit fullonly when Allah makes it fruitful. If a proud‘mutakabbir’ servantis going through hardships in life for e.g. ifhe is experiencingdiscontentment in spite of all the luxuries ofhis status, or hashealth problems without any apparent reason, oris dissatisfiedwith his children, or has problems with spouse orany otherrelationship, or has material problems, loss in business, povertyor he is not getting required results in spite of hard worketc.etc. or there can be any other reason of physical or/andemotionaltorture and pain i.e. any other calamity ‘nagahani afat’,he mustimmediately watch his own self may be he missed any actionmadeobligatory by Allah [‘farz’ of Allah] or may be any obligatoryact[‘faraiz’] concerning his parents or concerning his dependentsorconcerning his community on the whole are incomplete ormissingaltogether.
