PMI New Zealand invites all current and aspiring projectmanagers, leaders, entrepreneurs, academicians, students and anyonewith an active interest in project management to mark the 10-12September, 2013 in their calendar for the 19th PMINZ Conference atRendezvous Hotel in Auckland.

The PMINZ conference is a platform for professionals to gathertogether and share knowledge, experience and professionalcamaraderie, and recognise professional excellence via the PMINZ5thAnnual Awards.

The real deal: project management in reality. Being realisticand honest with regard to what it is really like deliveringprojects -- warts and all. No sanitised descriptions with spin;rather we want the true picture. This takes some courage butultimately is of great value. Grit not gloss.

A diverse world: a global situation. Issues relating to culturaldiversity, managing personality or working style differences, theglobal financial crisis, the need to deliver more for less (toremain globally competitive) and the impact of changingdemographics. How to embrace diversity. What does it mean for ourprofession and practice? What are the challenges, the pitfalls, andhow to reap the benefits?

Learning from lessons learned: sharing bad experiences alongsidegood ones, so that others can learn. Building knowledge in projectmanagement best practice through really learning lessons learned.Moving from paying lip service to learning lessons by being openwith the hard issues, even when they hurt deeply (sinking). Often,just getting by is the reality of where we are (surviving).Sometimes, we achieve a ‘kind-of-magic’ or ‘breakthrough’ which wecan share with others for benefit of the profession and widersociety (succeeding). We wish to celebrate such success.
