The Office of New Student Programs (NSP) atthe University of Dayton is excited to welcome you as a part of theFlyer family! Our office plans and implements New StudentOrientation (NSO), Transfer Student Orientation (TSO), Camp Blue,Weeks of Welcome (WoW), Family Weekend and January Orientation.

New Student Orientation (NSO)
Your University of Dayton experience begins with New StudentOrientation! The four days are full of informative, educational andentertaining activities that will begin your acclimation to being aFlyer. Participation is required for all new first year students.We couldn’t be more excited to meet you and welcome you to yoursecond home.

Transfer Student Orientation (TSO)
Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) is separate from NSO but runsconcurrently and is designed specifically to meet transfer needs.Like NSO for first-year students the program supports the transferstudent transition by helping to welcome and acclimate you tocampus and Flyer life. Move-in for transfer students takes place onthe Sunday morning prior to the first day of classes, and thetransfer orientation program begins right after move-infinishes. 

WoW
WoW is a three to five-week program that consists of educationaland entertaining events designed to help you get acquainted withthe University community and the city of Dayton.  As afirst-year student, you are encouraged to attend as many WoW eventsas you can to meet new people and learn more about services,programs, and resources available to you as a member of the UDcommunity.

Camp Blue
Camp Blue is a high-energy, action packed week exclusively forUniversity of Dayton's incoming class of first-year students. Campis designed to ease the transition into college while developingleadership skills and living the University of Dayton's philosophyof "Learn Lead, Serve". 

Family Weekend
Family weekend is a great time to return to UD to visit yourstudent and experience UD community spiritfirst-hand.  Events include a UD Football game, 5K run,cornhole tournament, casino night and most importantly, qualitytime with your student!
January Orientation

New Student Programs plans and facilitates the Januaryorientation experience for all UD students beginning their collegejourney in the spring semester. The January program is a one-dayblended program designed to transition first-year and transferstudents (domestic and international) and their family members. Allnew incoming first-year students are required to attend, while allnew incoming transfer students still have the opportunity to choosebetween attending the in-person experience or completing the onlineprogram.
