Centre for Social Action (CSA) is auniquemovement, where student communities are sensitised

on various issues affecting the poor and marginalized sectionsofsociety. This is done so that

they can internalize and personalize the issues and contributetosustainable changes in the lives

of the poor and the oppressed. Through such processesofinvolvement, CSA aims to enable the

students to be aware of the social realities around them aswellas impart them with ideas of how

they can contribute towards the upliftment ofunheededsections.

With the many socio-economic and environmental issues thatthecountry facing today, CSA

believes in the strength of the student community inbringingabout a positive change. The

groups that CSA focuses its programmes on are children,women,youth and the student

community in urban slums, rural and tribal villagesandeducational institutions.

CSA today, reaches out to a 10000 strong student communityofChrist University, students from

other institutions and communities. For this, CSA workswithinChrist University campus and

other educational campuses, 76 villages and 5 urban slums. Inanendeavor to further the good

work, CSA keeps improvising on its work techniques to reachoutto as many people as possible

in the most effective manner.

CSA is a centre for promoting volunteerism and enabling studentstodevelop as socially

responsible citizens through developmental initiatives.Itenvisions to make every student aware,

sensitive, empathetic and contributing to sustainable changesinthe society. The newest addition

to this cause is the addition of the CSA App.

The App is called “CSA and Me” version 1.0. The CSA App isoneway to organize the

volunteer body so that productive work is done. The CSAAppbasically aims to keep the

volunteers updated about the upcoming events. The volunteerbodywill be kept abreast of all

current events or activities that CSA is/will be conducting.TheApp will be a way to send

notifications to the volunteers about the current affairsofCSA.

Also, the App is a channel to pass on all possible informationaboutthe organization. All the

information regarding all wings of CSA is provided tothevolunteers through the CSA App. So

the CSA App is anything and everything about CSA that onewouldneed to know. Details of any

current/past event happening in CSA are provided in the Appforthe benefit of all the volunteers.

So, the CSA App is the one of the most innovative steptoimprovise and better the work of

Centre for Social Action. Information is just a touch awaywiththe CSA App on one’s phone. A

more effective way of communication, CSA App aims to keepsthevolunteers coordinated and

connected all the time.
