Data scanning is available for a select number of apps,includingthe system phone and SMS applications. Data will berecovered inthe form or HTML files for WhatsApp and Viber, as wecannot mergethird-party catalogs.

Shred/secure delete: Files found on free disk areas can beerasedpermanently in bulk using the Shred function. You can alsouse thesystem-wide Share menu to securely erase files directlythrough anyother app, for example by opening the gallery, selectinga numberof images, pressing the Share button and selectingSecuredelete.

Notes:

- Data Recover does not scan folders, it examines disk sectorsshownby the operating system as Volumes. Folders do not actuallycontainany data, they are simply an organizational system employedby theOS - your data is spread throughout the volume.

- Some files that are discovered during a scan may fail torecoveras the data can be corrupted beyond repair, just likedesktop basedsolutions. Similarly, files that are recovered mayfail to open orplay back due to fragmentation. Try to save therestored files andtransfer them to your desktop computer, wheremore robust,error-tolerant applications may be able to openthem.
