The Northwest Paralyzed Veterans of Americahasbeen advocating for veterans at local, state, and federallevels onall issues, in accordance with the guidelines of theAmericans withDisabilities Act.

The mission of NWPVA is to:
• Ensure that all of our members have equal access to highqualityhealthcare
• Support research and education addressing spinal cord injuryanddisease
• Increase our members' awareness of the number of benefits thatareavailable to them as a result of their military service andcivilrights
• Increase the number of services and benefits available toourmembers at the local state and national levels
• Provide opportunities that maximize our members' independenceandquality of life.

The Northwest Chapter was founded under the guiding principleofproviding help to veterans with spinal cord injury or diseasetoits fullest capacity, as stated in our bylaws, and intended byourfounding father, Jack Michaels.
