Instructions
Wash and dry bowl. Never use a container or vase that hasn'tbeenwashed after the last arrangement.
Prepare foam by soaking it in cool water. Let the foam floatuntilit is half way submerged in the water, then remove itimmediatelyand let it drain. Don't push foam under the water, justlet it sinknaturally.
Place the ball of floral foam in the bowl. Make sure there isampleroom in the bowl for water to come up covering about 1/4 ofthefoam ball. Add water with the correct mixture offloralpreservative.
Remove leaves from the part of the stems that will be inthefoam.
Place the single specimen rose in the middle of the foam and pushitin carefully. Add clusters or single, smaller roses and buds ofthesame variety in a close circle around the center rose.
Insert small bunches of violets between every third rose inthecircle.
Alternate one small and one large carnation in the next circle.Besure carnations are placed closely together and right undertherose and violet circle. Place a small cluster of violetsbetweenevery fifth carnation.
Begin another circle with one hydrangea head, then 3carnations,then one bunch of violets. Continue around the foam withthissequence until there is room for only one more circle offlowers onthe bottom.
Add one last row of all hydrangeas to the very bottom of thefloralarrangement. Stand back and look at the floral arrangement.Thereshould be no foam showing and the arrangement should looktight andsymmetrical. Add additional rows or flowers whereneeded.
