O Tratamento Fora de Domicílio –TFD,instituído pela Portaria SAS nº 55/1999, é o instrumento legalqueviabiliza o encaminhamento de pacientes portadores de doençasnãotratáveis em seu município/estado de origem aoutrosmunicípios/estados que realizem o tratamento necessário.

O TFD consiste em uma ajuda de custo ao paciente e, emalgunscasos, também ao acompanhante, encaminhado por ordem médicaaunidades de saúde de outro município/estado, limitada aoperíodoestritamente necessário ao tratamento e aos recursosorçamentáriosexistentes. As despesas permitidas pelo TFD sãoaquelas relativasao transporte aéreo, terrestre e fluvial (ida evolta), e diáriaspara alimentação e pernoite para paciente eacompanhante.

Treatment Out ofDomicile- TFD, established by Ordinance SAS No. 55/1999, is thelegalinstrument that enables the routing of patients withuntreatablediseases in your county / state to other counties /states thatperform the necessary treatment.

The PDT consists of an allowance to the patient and, insomecases, also escort, referred by medical health units to orderfromanother county / state, limited to the period strictlynecessary toprocess and existing budgetary resources. Expensesallowed by theTFD are those relating to air, land and rivertransportation(roundtrip), and per diem for food and overnight forpatient andcompanion.
