The purpose was to provide atranslation suitable for liturgical use. Throughout the 1970s andearly 1971, auditors (writers, university professors, poets,musicians) were working on a revision to improve readability. CEI1974 is another revision made between (1972-1974) to correct littleminor style defects. The Bibbia Conferenza Episcopale Italiana(CEI) is divided into two testaments.
