So what does this app do?
Nothing, other than showing you in detail exactly how to make itall work. There are narrated video examples summarized withseparate written instructions. You will see step-by-step how to usethe tools from Google Maps and the others.

Some reasons we have taken this pieced-together approach ratherthan building a stand-alone app:
1. It’s difficult to build a route using an app on a small touchscreen, even if you have a stylis.
2. We will consider building an app if we see the opportunity toimprove the experience.

What you will need
A desktop or notebook computer running Microsoft Windows 8.1 willbe used to build the route and is recommended. Older versions ofWindows and Windows Tablets should also work but have not beentested using this method.

Be sure the desktop or notebook computer is equipped with amouse that includes a scroll wheel. The scroll wheel will allow youto quickly zoom the map in and out while building the route.There's lots of zooming in and out involved in route building.
